Another Wild Life Refuge shot................

I spy an Ospry.

"Let's not invite Mildred and Earl over for dinner, they hate trains."  Seriously, build your nest next to a train track?  What were you thinking?  This is the remnants of old telegraph and signaling lines used in a different century, now a host for an Osprey nest.

I know, less then sharp and you can barely tell their Ospreys but hey, they were feeding on this fish and I thought it worth sharing.

What the nest looks like from afar.  Not too elegant but there are no Judges in the Outback.

Flairing out like a huge parachute.

There were at least four Osprey dotting over this nest.  I don't know the history but if I find out, I'll share.

Beak agape and screeching landing instructions, I imagine.

Wheeeee and wheeee some more.  A natural water slide albeit a little bumpy in places.

The "Yaaka Falls" on the road to "Yaaka, MT."  Yes, the water slides are a contiguous downstream part of this falls.

This grass is branded as a weed and has taken over as it is in every place I've been so far In Montana and Idaho.  For me it is decorative, not so for the native grasses it's choking out.

And a cloud shot for my friends: Stu and Dot.  Stu loves to photograph clouds himself and Dot, she would probably imagine this cloud to be an Elephant.  Who could ever disagree with her?

Canon EOS 5D MKii and a 100 to 400mm 1:4.5-5.6 L IS telephoto zoom lens and a wide angle zoom: 24-105mm L IS 1:4 USM.
